Asbel Farms: Wonderwood by the Sea

Nicholas Allen • August 27, 2025

Hey, I’m Nick—welcome to Asbel Farms 🌿

-

I’m building Asbel Farms: Wonderwood by the Sea here in Mayport Village, FL. It’s a tiny, hands-on hemp grow with a big heart: clean flower, honest process, and a whole lot of learning out loud.

What we’re about

-

  • Quality over everything. Small batches so I can actually pay attention to each run.
  • Transparency. I’ll share the wins and the “well… that didn’t work” moments.
  • Sustainability that’s real. Rain-catch, solar, compostable packaging, and a closed-loop jar system for partners.

How we’re growing

-

I keep inputs simple and gentle, dial in the environment, and test for compliance. You’ll see me post about genetics I’m trying, tweaks to the room, drying/curing notes, and what changes the smoke in the jar. If you’re into gear, spreadsheets, and dialing recipes—same.

Packaging that doesn’t feel wasteful

-

Compostable pouches for most orders, and reusable glass jars for retailers (return → sanitize → reuse). Less trash, less guilt, same fresh flower.

What you’ll find on this blog

-

  • behind-the-scenes farm updates
  • experiments (good, bad, and “interesting”)
  • sustainability numbers in plain English
  • collabs with local shops and growers

Subscribe to "On The Farm" to get bi-monthly updates straight to your inbox.

Quick note on age & content

-

This site has hemp-related content and is meant for 21+. Nothing here is medical advice—just one grower sharing the journey.

Thanks for being here and cheering on a small, veteran-owned farm by the sea. If you want to partner, trade notes, or just say hi: nick@asbelfarms.com.

Respectfully,

Nick
