Security Posture (Public Summary)

  • Minimize third‑party scripts to reduce attack surface.
  • HTTPS for all pages; avoid mixed content.
  • No third‑party ad pixels; if we embed media, we prefer privacy modes (e.g., youtube-nocookie).
  • Data minimization: collect only what’s needed to respond to you or fulfill an order; no sensitive categories.
  • Access controls: email and admin accounts protected with strong passwords and multi‑factor authentication.
  • Retention: keep data only as long as necessary for operations or legal requirements.
  • Do Not Track: We honor browser (DNT) signals. When DNT is enabled, we do not load non-essential analytics or marketing trackers.
  • Cookies: We use only the cookies necessary to operate the store (e.g., cart, checkout). Any analytics or marketing cookies are off by default unless you choose to allow them.
  • We do not sell or rent personal data: We collect only what’s needed to fulfill orders and provide support.
  • Link to EmailOctopus’ policy if you embed their forms; note that sign-ups are double opt-in and you can unsubscribe any time.
  • 3rd party email privacy policy: https://emailoctopus.com/legal/privacy

1) Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details (name, email, phone, shipping/billing address)
  • Messages, forms, and other communications you send to us
  • Order details (items purchased, delivery info, transaction totals)

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to remember preferences and measure Site performance (see “Cookies”).

Information from others

  • Payment processors (transaction status—no full card numbers are stored by us)
  • Shipping and fulfillment partners (tracking status)

We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information.

2) How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Site and our services
  • Communicate with you (customer support, order confirmations, updates)
  • Personalize content and measure Site performance
  • Detect, prevent, and address security or fraud issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

3) How we share information

We share information with:

  • Service providers (payment, hosting, analytics, shipping, email) bound by contractual confidentiality
  • Legal and safety: if required by law, governmental request, or to protect our rights or users
  • Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross‑context behavioral advertising.

4) Cookies & tracking

We honor privacy signals. If your browser sends Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat that as an opt‑out from any non‑essential tracking. In practice, this means:

  • We do not load analytics, ad pixels, or behavioral tracking when DNT or GPC is detected.
  • We do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising.
  • We only use essential technologies needed to operate the site (e.g., security, form delivery). Our age‑gate currently does not store information.

How to signal privacy: Enable DNT in your browser or use a GPC‑enabled browser/extension. When either is present, our site responds by disabling non‑essential tracking.

Analytics: By default, we run the site without analytics. If we later add privacy‑respecting, cookie‑free analytics (e.g., high‑level page counts), we will update this Policy and only run them when DNT/GPC are not present, or after explicit consent.

Log data & retention: Our hosting provider may log basic request data (e.g., IP, user‑agent) for security and operational purposes. We request short retention periods where possible and do not combine logs with other data to profile visitors.

Your choices: You can browse without cookies or trackers here. If you submit a form, we only use your information to respond to your request or fulfill your order.

5) Your choices & rights

  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by emailing nick@asbelfarms.com.

  • California residents: You may request to know, access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and you may limit the use of sensitive personal information. Submit requests at nick@asbelfarms.com. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

6) Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law.

7) Children and age restrictions

This Site is intended for adults 21+ and includes hemp‑related content. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a person under 21 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
